Water:
We receive water from our community.
The Marbachtal is the source of the water where it is caught and transferred into the water pipes. Flachauer water has the highest quality and runs through all the Hotel taps.
Best still drinking water.

Purchase:
We try to use products from our region and Austria. Salzburger Land Molkerei is one of our major suppliers in the food sector.
Meat and ham are from Austrian pig and cattle.

Heating:
Renewable energy is important to us.
The hotel is equipped with central heating where the heat is received from our local heating system “Holzwärme Flachau”. Cosy heat from domestic woods.

Power/ Electricity
Our electricity provider is Salzburg AG. 94% from our electricity demand is produced in Austria. Only 6% are imported.
Salzburg AG uses environmentally-friendly energy from hydropower and domestic biomass.
The share of electricity from clean hydroelectric power is over 80%.

Recycling:
Garbage is disposed by ecological standards: paper, carton, white glass, coloured glass, plastic, metal, organic waste.
Other rubbish is being picked up and taken care of by our contractors. All in an environmentally friendly and ecological way.

Hazardous waste is professionally disposed in the Flachauer recycling area.
